About the work

- Nervous breakdown

The idea of this painting was given by a tv channel, which in order to keep the peoples eyes on screen, stops each show in every 15 minutes with ‘Breaking News’. This was very annoying cause all of them was full of negativity and none of them were urgent or interesting. So, as angry as I was, I started to paint, trying to show all the anger I had inside… The portrait is somehow divided in 2 sections, where the right side with blue is under the influence of the negative news, with sadness, pain and uncertainty. The left side with glass eye, is powerfully angry and ready to break everything around, specially the Tv set, while he also was captured by these negatively influenced breaking news. The word BREAKING is part of the ‘breaking news’ title showed on tv. The other words are increasing this chaos even psyhically by reading them. This portrait with full of overwhelmed negative feelings in the end got a nervous breakdown.
